Series Details
Welcome to the Formula BRC series. This series will be using a stock 2015 Mazda Formula Mazda, with tracks mainly around what is used in Formula 1 current and past, with a couple extra what I feel also work as Formula tracks like Road America.
For the format for this first series, there will be 4 sessions with 3 races each, totaling up to 12 races for the series. Before each race there will be a 3 lap qualifying session first to set the grid order. And the number of race laps is calculated around a distance of 50 kilometres.
All levels of assists are welcome, and up to you on if you want to use a wheel or controller. Collisions, fuel and tyre wear will all be on, but won’t need to worry about needing to pit.Scoring
Scoring
Points will be awarded based on the points system used in F1 from 2003 – 2009, which is from 1st through to 8th.
1st = 10 points
2nd = 8 points
3rd = 6 points
4th = 5 points
5th = 4 points
6th = 3 points
7th = 2 points
8th = 1 point
At the current moment there are 5 tracks on Forza what are apart of this year’s F1 season which is 24 races this year, but with the Formula BRC being just 12, I’ve looked to see where those tracks fall in the F1 calendar, and have placed them in the equivalent spots. So for example Suzuka is race 4 in F1, so is race 2 in ours, Catalunya is race 10 in F1, so is race 5 in ours etc. And the other 7 spots were randomly rolled from the past F1 circuits as well as Road America and Daytona which I added to the list. So the Formula BRC calendar is as follows, which are all on the Full/GP circuits…
Race 1: Road America
Race 2: Suzuka Circuit
Race 3: Mugello Autodromo Internazionale
Race 4: Daytona International Speedway
Race 5: Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya
Race 6: Silverstone Racing Circuit
Race 7: Spa Frankorchamps
Race 8: Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Race 9: Nurbergring
Race 10: Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit
Race 11: Hockenheimring
Race 12: Yas Marina Circuit.
